The Venue
Autumn Lane Estate • Sebago, ME
We found this place by accident.
We were driving back from North Conway to Portland, taking the long way around Sebago Lake because the fast way is boring, when we passed a sign for Autumn Lane and pulled in on a whim. We had no appointment. We had, in fact, already found the place online and ruled it out — well. Nate had ruled it out.
We called the owners from the driveway. They couldn't conjure a tour out of two minutes' notice (surprise, surprise), but they offered to unlock everything and let us walk the property ourselves.
So we did. We walked out to the field, saw the water through the trees, and by the time we got back to the car we had both already decided. Nate included.
And that's where we're getting married — the ceremony on the field looking out at the lake, dinner in a tent outside the barn, and the dancing in the barn.

Roughly Halfway
Sebago sits almost exactly between the two places we'd point you toward anyway. Portland is about fifty minutes south, on the coast. North Conway and the White Mountains are about an hour north. If you're making a weekend of it, you can drive either direction after breakfast and still be back in time for dinner.

Staying the Weekend
Labor Day Weekend books up early across the whole Sebago Lake area, so it's worth sorting out where you're staying sooner rather than later.
