Our Story

Like many modern love stories, Nate and Kaeley's began with a simple online match. After exchanging only a few brief messages, they decided to meet in person. What started as a chance connection quickly grew into a relationship built on laughter, trust, and a shared excitement for life's adventures.

Their love of adventure has brought them to some of their favorite places, including Portland, Maine, one of their first trips together. The coast, the food, and the feeling of discovering somewhere new made it a place that quickly became special to them.

As their relationship grew, so did the lives they shared. Nate and Kaeley became part of each other's families in a way that felt completely right. Holidays, celebrations, everyday moments, and new traditions naturally became shared experiences. Their love has been surrounded by the support, kindness, and acceptance of the families who welcomed them so effortlessly.

While Charlie may have started as Kaeley's dog, she quickly gained a dad when Nate came into their lives. It did not take long for Charlie to become just as attached to Nate as she is to Kaeley, and together they became a little family.

Another special part of their story is their connection to the Spanish language. Both Nate and Kaeley learned Spanish through relationships with people who are important to them, allowing them to deepen their connections with family, culture, and one another.

Their story reached a new milestone during April vacation in Costa Rica when Nate proposed at a waterfall surrounded by Kaeley's Costa Rican family. It was a moment that reflected everything they value most: love, family, adventure, and the people who have helped shape their journey.

When searching for the perfect place to celebrate their wedding, they found themselves drawn back to the places they loved most. During a trip from North Conway to Portland, they noticed Sebago Lake was along their route and remembered seeing Autumn Lane Estate as a recommended venue nearby. On a whim, they decided to stop and take a look. The beauty of the lake, the peaceful setting, and the opportunity to spend meaningful time with the people they love made it the perfect place to begin their next chapter.
